Thanks for stumbling onto my page!
I’m hoping this lasts longer than the failed travel blog I started nine years ago (actually, if I hit publish on this ‘about me’ post, I think I’ll have already doubled the number of posts from my last attempt).
So who am I? I’m a young(ish) professional in the fields of heritage conservation and archaeology operating out of Ottawa, Canada. I have a B.A. in Classical Archaeology from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and an M.A. in Canadian Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, where I specialized in Heritage Conservation. After a number of years working for giant consulting firms, I decided to venture out on my own to pursue projects and research about which I am truly passionate.
My goal is to turn this blog into a place where I can examine issues concerning heritage and nature conservation as well as documenting my own daily struggles with sustainable living. I’m not entirely sure what direction this blog will take. I assume it will fall somewhere between academic journal articles and how-to gardening tips. I’m also on twitter @cucchiy if you’re interested in a more condensed version of my blog.
